Arcturus is our line of tactical UAS. The platform is a man-portable tactical quadcopter with a modular undercarriage. Arcturus multi-mission "connectivity" module allows the operator in the field to opt for either wireless piloting or a wired fibre optic connection. This high-level of customisation gives Arcturus an unparalleled level of flexibility that allows it to be fitted easily in-the-field for any mission profile.
Modular Multi-Mission Payloads

Extended Battery: A larger battery capable of extending flight time to 45 minutes in our baseline testing conditions.
Drop Bays: Remotely operated drop bays capable of delivering small munitions or supplies to the field.
Shaped Explosive: Conduct effective one-way-attack missions with a hard-hitting shaped plastic explosive.
Airburst Explosive: Intended for aerial intercepts, showers the area with metallic chaff and ball bearings that can take down hostile drones.
Logistics-Friendly Construction
The entire outer housing of the drone including the protective shell for the fuselage and rotors arms are all 100% 3D printed. The core structural frame of the drone is made from multiple layers of laser CNC'd wood. You read that right, it's made out of wood!
Arcturus' unique construction gives it multiple benefits.
Lightweight: Thanks to being made out of wood and 3D printed components, Arcturus is incredibly light. The reduced weight allows Arcturus to have improved range or payload capacity. It also makes it easier for individual soldiers to carry Arcturus platforms.
Easy-to-Produce: Arcturus has been designed to be mass produced at an incredible scale right here in Canada or near the front using sea container-based mobile fabricators. Thanks to its commercially available components and "lego-like" assembly, Arcturus can be made quickly and at low-cost without the need for specialised labour.
Rapid Iteration: The modular design of Arcturus enables rapid platform iteration for both hardware and software changes. Adapt to unique scenarios or to evolving threats atop a highly configurable workhorse platform.
Secure Communications
Arcturus has a secure comms module that can be swapped to best suit its mission.
Wireless Comms: Encrypted wireless communications facilitates convenient connectivity with the platform. Advantages in deployment time and mobility are especially useful in uncontested air or electronic warfare environments.
Wired Fibre-Optic: A towed fibre optic cable enables secure unjammed communications with the Arcturus platform. The lack of wireless broadcasting is an advantage in threat environments that require strict emissions control.
Hard Light Secure Line of Sight: Jamming-resistant wireless communications that gives you the mobility of the wireless configuration while giving you the jamming resistance of a towed cable. Can be linked either to a ground-based relay or to an aerial C2 node via Vekta's Altair drone for increased range.
