Introduction

Vekta’s AI Transformation is a full-lifecycle service that helps Canadian governmental departments & agencies to design, build, and deploy mission-ready AI capabilities. The program begins by developing a clear understanding of your mission, constraints, and current performance, then delivers self-hosted, production-grade systems that improve operational effectiveness while safeguarding classified and sensitive data. In an environment where readiness, speed, and trust are paramount, AI must be secure, auditable, and measurable. Approach

Our approach is sequential and comprehensive. We begin with challenge mapping to create a shared picture of processes, systems, data flows, and classification requirements. Through interviews, workshops, document reviews, and data inventories we reveal the operational needs and constraints that truly matter. At this stage we establish quantitative baseline metrics such as accuracy, latency, throughput, cost per decision, and human in the loop time. These provide an agreed starting point for evaluating progress and requirements.

With the problem space defined, we move into solutioning. We design multiple courses of action that balance capability, security, cost, and schedule. Each option is expressed as a project proposal with technical architecture, a concept of operations, and a governance model. We implement targeted prototypes and evaluate them against the baseline metrics. This evidence allows stakeholders to select with confidence and to commit to a roadmap that is technically sound, defensible from a security perspective, and practical to operate.

Execution and delivery convert the chosen course of action into a working capability. We build in your environment, whether air gapped or a restricted cloud, harden the system, and move it through testing to Initial Operational Capability (IOC) and then Full Operational Capability (FOC). Data pipelines, model training, APIs, and operator dashboards are delivered with documentation, training, and handover materials. Where desired, our team remains engaged for sustainment, model evaluation, and continuous improvement so that performance continues to track against the defined KPIs.

A secure and enterprise ready technology stack underpins every engagement. We prioritise self hosted AI models so that classified and sensitive data never leaves departmental control. Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) is paired with private vector stores and Model Context Protocals (MCPs) to produce controlled, citeable outputs.

Security controls include role and attribute based access, hardware backed key management, end to end encryption, zero trust networking, and comprehensive logging. The architecture is designed to align with Government of Canada security guidance and departmental classification levels. Our experience working with CAF data systems, together with deployments in highly regulated private sector environments such as banking, gives us the practical knowledge to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable systems that stand up to audit and operational scrutiny.

Case Studies

We have delivered custom AI systems for organisations around the world across various sectors. In one engagement for regulated financial institutions we built a self hosted risk assessment engine used by banks and credit unions. The system combined retrieval augmented generation with supervised models to evaluate counterparties and transactions in real time.
